Greetings and Salutations fellow Sunseeker enthusiast,
Today was an extremely productive day. Mitch, Byron and myself have finished buffing the mold. Nick and Josh worked on patching up a few blemishes on the inside of the mold. Tonight's progress on the new 2010 Sunseeker has been astonishing. Abe helped us get a full list ready of things that still need to be done before the rayce. The crew has also lifted the 2005 solar car array off the car and onto the stand. Byron re-enforced some troubled areas on array. We are finishing up some repairs on the 2005 car to get it back in condition for driver training.

- WMU Solar Car Team
- Western Michigan University students join to design and build a solar powered vehicle that utilizes state of the art technology. Students have the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to a hands-on project to achieve a common goal. The culmination of the project is the biennial, cross-country, international, intercollegiate American Solar Challenge. A test of the efficiency, safety and durability of the solar vehicles. WMU has participated in every ASC and is one of only four universities to have done so. The team also promotes the use of renewable alternative energy and the advancement of related technologies by educating the public through the presentation and demonstration of a solar powered vehicle at schools, museums, energy fairs, car shows, parades and other special events.
